Streetwise (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Streetwise mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.
Precise location collected during navigation features to provide safe walking routes and nearby incident information. Location data is not collected when the app is closed.
Email address, display name, and unique user identifier. Third-party sign-in (Google or Apple) shares authorized information from those providers.
Manually entered phone numbers for emergency contacts. The app does not access your device's address book.
Profile pictures uploaded from your photo library, stored securely and associated with your account.
When you use the AI Companion feature, your microphone audio is transmitted in real time to ElevenLabs for speech processing and AI conversation. Audio is processed in real time and not stored or recorded by Streetwise or ElevenLabs after the call ends. This data is only shared after you provide explicit consent through the in-app consent dialog.
Recent destination searches stored locally for quick access to frequently visited places.
Incident reports including type and GPS coordinates, associated with your account and processed through a trust and credibility system.
AI call duration data, crash reports, and performance diagnostics collected to improve the app experience.
Streetwise uses the following third-party services. Each service processes data per their own privacy policies; we share only the minimum data required.
Before sharing any data with third-party voice processing services, Streetwise asks for your explicit consent:

Data is retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data (incident statistics) may be retained for safety analysis.
Streetwise is not intended for children under age 12. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us promptly if you believe a child has provided personal data.
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use of Streetwise after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
